This showcase is more than a concert—it is a live demonstration of the therapeutic power of percussion. The Toe Jams Drumming Squad features former service members who have traded tactical maneuvers for synchronized rhythms, utilizing hip-hop and popular beats to navigate the complexities of post-service healing and community reintegration.
Presented by the Veterans Art Center Tampa Bay (VACTB), under the leadership of CEO Mack Macksam, the performance will be a multi-modal experience, seamlessly integrating the driving force of the drums with elements of spoken word, rap, and song.
